Carter's Custom Clone Shop specializes in closely working with customer to reproduce a very accurate representation of specific artist tone or replicate a pickup out there in production or no longer made. For 6 years I have replicated very accurate pickups that produce the desired tone and performance the customer desired. 6 years ago when I first started out I was asked to Replicate that infamous "Brown Sound" that all these who had gone 5150 over this tone . Thus the EV79 was born. As word got out and many EV 79's were sold all over the world Many Guitarist from at home jammers to Pro Touring player came to me to have other pickups and old school artist tones replicated. From Gary Moore's tone to all theway accross the spectrum to Dimebag Darrels Tone I have done it all with sucess.

Axis the Clones ... Many replicators of The EBMMan and Wolfs gang Guitars were searching for Newly built Humbucker sets to replicate the original equipped pickups. We took these pickups and tore them down closely examining the winding direction, wire gauge , sent the magnets off to get an analysis of the gauss level. After a few Prototypes we got the results needed. After all this is a Tone Clone not an exact replication of the originals.

If you a Direct body Mount guitar we can alter the base so it fits as designed with no mods Needed.

Code 5150 The High Sustain Model of the EV 79 was deveolped based off Ed's article claiming he too a PAF Magnet and placed it into a Dimrz. Super distortion that he hand over wound To achieve the perfect Hum after the First Franken-Model . Through rigorous testing with a client actyually owning Eds 85-86 back up Touring Kramer we nailed the Tone running thru quality tube amp power.

Sonic Bucker RTM (Road to Mayhem) The Sonic Bucker was created in 2010 for a friend of mine looking for High output and compressed Eq that you normally dont get from high output aggressive humbuckers. Later on it just happens a Demartini family member requested the same from someone else. But My original Sonic Bucker Bombardes its way in with high bold volume thats controlable and has a very even Eq. My good Friend Mark said " its the First Pickup i dont have to scoop the mids.All 3 Eq knobs on my quick rod are at noon and it raises the dead when I want and is still articulate and Cleans up very nice and firm"
